Sundarban National Park is the most ecologically valuable portion in Sundarban area. This is declared as national park in the year 1984 and UNESCO world heritage site in the year 1987. After that in the year 2001, this park is considered as a World Biosphere Reserve in West Bengal.
This site is situated at the delta formed by the Ganges in West Bengal & Bangladesh.
This park is famous for it’s the great Royal Bengal Tiger & Sundari tree. It is the world largest mangrove forest. This ecosystem is the home for tigers, leopards, crocodiles, Hag Deer, swamp deer, Oliver Ridley turtles and different species of birds.
